As far back as 2006, when the exit exam became a requirement for graduation, students who didn’t pass the CAHSEE were not able to graduate and receive their diploma. SB 172 changes that. Any former student who completed grade twelve in the 2003-04 school year—or a subsequent school year—and met all applicable graduation requirements other than the passage of the CAHSEE may contact their high school office and fill out a request for records review.
Once the graduation status is verified, the records office will mail out the diploma to the individual’s current mailing address.
Stressing the importance of offering nutritious meals to children during the summer months, Twin Rivers School District announces a FREE Summer Nutrition Program for children 18 years of age and under.
“This program helps fills a void,” says Nutrition Services Director Jill Van Dyke. “We are helping parents meet the nutritional needs of their children during the summer months when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable.”
The Summer Food Service Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the California Department of Education. Twin Rivers is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
