We are very lucky here at Harmon Johnson to have Alan Schroeder, author of many children's books visiting us on Friday, May 6th. There will be two assemblies, one for primary students, K-3 and one for upper primary students 4-6. Parents and community members are welcome to join us at either assembly. Mr. Schroeder has written over a dozen books for children, including the 1997 Coretta Scott King award winner, Minty: A Story of Young Harriet Tubman and the Cinderella story, Smoky Mountain Rose: An Appalachian Cinderella. Our library will have copies of many of his books to share with students and teachers. Hope you can join us for this memorable event.
